There are several reasons why you may require the paint code for your VW Transporter. Whether you’re looking for touch-up paint or perhaps a pre-painted piece of body styling, it’s essential you find the correct code to ensure a perfect colour match.
PAINT CODE LOCATION
The location of your paint code can vary per model and production date, however, you’ll be looking for the same vehicle data sticker no matter your van.The most common location to find this sticker is within the vehicle service book on the inside of the rear cover page. Should you not have the service book, you can also find a sticker on the interior of your van. The best place to check for these is underneath the steering column, the front of the driver’s seat base or on the driver’s door edge.
Which number is the paint code?
On the sticker, there will be a row titled ‘Paint No./Interior’ the first column on this row (the four-character code) is your paint number.
